Finished Rainbow scarf!
Finally finished Joelle Hoverson's 'child's rainbow scarf' from 'Last minute knitted gifts'. It is in the 2 to 4 hour section, but I found it an interminable experience. This is not related to the pattern, which is easy, or the feel of the yarn - but the colours. I chose to combine Noro Kureyon numbers #147 and #128. It would be more succesful in colours that contrasted more dramatically. I think that if I were a more experienced knitter it might have taken around 6 hours, but I just snatched moments in between other knitting. Half way through I decided I would give it to my sister's boy-friend, so it was renamed 'Carl's scarf'. As he is quite tall I knitted the two whole balls, and it came out at 58" long, instead of 54".
I found another blogger's versions of the scarf here: Jillz. Looks good! Now I can get bag to knitting my recycled silk bag....
