I love Manos del Uruguay
This yarn is gorgeous! Not only does it feel good, the colours are just spell-binding.
This stitch - a 'herringbone' of some sort - shows up the variety of colours in Wildflowers 113: blues, yellows, greens, reds.... and it is a pleasure to knit without concentrating again. (Sorry 'Midwest Moonlight', this is a brief betrayal as I shall return to you soon!). Last night was one of those rare evenings in my life during term time, as I arrived home at about 7 p.m.. And, even better, Channel 4 was showing Celebrity Big Brother, where they announced that a mystery guest was arriving... and it was - of all people - Sylvester Stallone's mother. Although it was tough to knit whilst watching the various celeb's cope with the arrival of such an extraordinary creature, I managed to get this far with 'My so called scarf':
Her ex-daughter-in-law, Brigitte Nielsen was very professional, but the model Caprice just couldn't close her mouth in amazement (at what? the way plastic surgery looks like at 70+? The fact that she was in the same house as Stallone's mum?). And there is a very young celebrity, Kenzie, who didn't seem to know who Stallone was... Imagine being too young to miss that 'cultural' reference.

I love Manos, too! I love the pairing of the herringbone stitch and the colorway. Absolutely beautiful!

I finally broke down and got some Manos (I have been wanting it for a long time!) in a colorway called 'Bramble' to make this scarf. I'm very excited.

Oh, hey - have you switched skeins yet? How much of a color difference is there - do you think I should be alternating rows? Does this question even make sense? Must find more coffee.

The Manos is truly lovely. Did you manage to find it in the UK or did you have to get it from the US?
