I have completed the Belt de Jour, and had intended to press it last night. However, my cat makes a terrible fuss if I am not in bed by midnight. Honest. She snorts and huffs, mews, glares, tries to draw me away from the TV, kitchen, study.... into bed. Once her human is settled and under the bedclothes, does she settle as well! Oddly enough, no. She has a wee doze, and once she thinks I am asleep, she pops out of the catflap and into the night. But - should I not get sent to bed again - I'll press the belt this evening and post a photo in the morning.
This is a quick post to share photos of postal gifts! First of all, Amy sent me some wonderful patterns, cute Japanese stationery, and a chipmunk clip:
it will make a lovely Summer scarf. It has a wonderfully light feel to it. To quote The Keyboard Biologist, 'this yarn has a texture that is a combination between a soft vellum paper and a fine cotton'. I agree. I will start playing with this yarn later on today!
I have really enjoyed Secret Pals 4, and hope that the next one is just as rewarding. I had a superb woman gifting me from France, who spoilt me with Monoprix and Phildar yarns, knitting magazine and a fab stitch book, and included cat related gifts: a soap, a blackboard, and enough yarn to knit my own little chic French cat too! I look forward to finding out who she is... and to letting my SP know who I was too.
